Let me introduce myself

Hi!

My name is Alannah Page and I am the founder of this self-named creative agency. I thought I would write a blog post so you can get to know the person crafting all of your content behind the screen.

I was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, which is a city located in central Canada. Saskatoon is a prairie province that, I feel, often gets overlooked. What I love about my hometown is the sky and the air. In my opinion, sunrises and sunsets don’t look as beautiful anywhere else. 

You know you’re in Saskatchewan when the sky reminds you of the cotton candy you would beg for as a child at the annual fair and the air smells like a mix of pine and hay, but in the best way.

When I graduated high school, I moved to Calgary, Alberta to pursue my education in communication and journalism. I fell in love with Calgary and the big city life and I ended up living there for five years. This is where I started my journalism career and I worked at Global News, Avenue Magazine as well as doing some investigative reporting for the former Star Calgary. 

Most recently, I lived and worked in Lacombe, Alberta where I ran the operations for the weekly newspaper the Lacombe Express. While Alberta will always have my heart, because of the ongoing pandemic I wanted to move back home to be closer to my family during this time.

I am currently studying for my Law School Admission Test (LSAT) while I finish my post-grad certificate in Marketing and Strategic Communication. 

Beyond loving to learn and write, I also have a passion for living heathy. I love to workout, practice yoga and hike all with my one-year-old golden retriever named Leo. 

When I’m not working or in school I enjoy making healthy recipes, tying new exercises and spending time training my dog. I’m also a book worm and I’m always searching for my next read, feel free to send me a message and recommend your favourite book.
